At Rite Care Pharmacy we are proud to offer full service at no extra cost to our patients. Compounding customized medication is just one of several services we offer.

Do You Need Compounding?

If you can't take medicine because of:

• allergies

• dyes

• preservatives

• too big to swallow

• too strong or too weak

• no longer available

• bad taste

Then compounding is the right answer for you.

At Rite-Care Pharmacy we understand the special needs some of our patients have. Some are allergic to binding ingredients used in some medication. Some are sensitive to the available strengths, while others simply cannot stand the taste of their medication. With compounding we can prepare customized medication according to your needs.

We can alter the form of your medication to make it easier for you take. We can adjust your medication strength or add flavor to make it taste better.

Compounding allows physicians to prescribe customized medications that aren't commercially available.

Many children have difficulty taking their medicine. In pediatric compounding we can formulate the exact dosage a child requires. We can alter a medication from tablet form to liquid and add the right flavoring. This can be a tremendous incentive for a child to take their medication regularly especially for those who need to take medicine for an extended period of time.

Some patients cannot tolerate gluten, which is found in the grain of wheat, rye, barley, oats and other grains. Other patients are lactose intolerant. Since many drugs on the market contain gluten, lactose, corn, dyes, preservatives, or other ingredients which may be problematic or offensive, most medication can be custom compounded leaving out the problem ingredients.
